The Journey

My path into EV ownership didn’t happen all at once. It started in 2020 with a 2020 Chevy Bolt, continued with a 2023 Tesla Model 3 Standard RWD, shifted back to hybrid life with a 2025 Mazda CX-50 AWD Hybrid, and eventually led me to my current vehicle — an Ultra Red 2026 Tesla Model Y Premium AWD.

Each vehicle taught me something different. The Bolt introduced me to electric driving. The Model 3 gave me my first real experience with Tesla ownership. The Mazda hybrid reminded me what I liked — and what I missed. And the Model Y brought me back into the Tesla ecosystem with more space, more comfort, and a renewed excitement for the EV lifestyle.

Electric Upgrade is where I document that journey and share what I learn along the way. From home charging, road trips, and accessories to FSD, software updates, service experiences, and everyday ownership tips, this site is a place for practical insight from a real owner.

It’s also home to Model Y Mastery, my guide for new and future Model Y and Tesla owners, along with partner deals, content, and connections to the Tesla community I’ve become part of.

This started with a car, but it’s grown into something bigger — a place to share the transition, the technology, and the experience of going electric.
